A booster pump combo is a complete pressure set: pump, automatic flow controller, wiring and plug, assembled and tested so you can connect it to your JoJo or storage tank and switch it on. We build combos on the QB60, QB70 and QB80 peripheral pumps, the CPM130, CPM146 and CPM158 centrifugal pumps and self-priming and stainless-steel jet pumps, from 0.37kW to 2.2kW and from R1,900. Prefer a pressure switch and tank instead of a flow controller? See our booster pumps and pressure tanks.

QB60 0.37kW combo: a flat, cottage or small house with one bathroom. The best-selling entry-level set.QB70 0.55kW or QB80 0.75kW combo: two to three bathrooms, or one bathroom plus a garden tap running at the same time.CPM130 / CPM146 / CPM158 combos (0.37–0.75kW): the same bathroom count but more flow, so showers stay strong while the washing machine fills.Self-priming jet combos: when the pump has to sit above the water level, for example an underground tank or a dam, up to about 8 m of suction lift.Stainless-steel jet combos (1.1–2.2kW): large homes, two storeys and small guesthouses. The automatic flow controller switches the pump on when a tap opens and off when it closes, and stops the pump if the tank runs dry. It gives steady pressure in a compact unit, but it has no stored water, so the pump starts for every use. If you have a lot of short draws or a drip irrigation system, add a 24L pressure tank after the controller or choose a VSD booster.
Is the combo really plug-and-play?Yes. It arrives assembled with the controller fitted, wired and with a plug. You connect the suction to the tank, the delivery to the house, fill the pump with water and plug it in. Fit a ball valve and strainer before the pump and a non-return valve after it.Why does my combo pump keep cutting out? Most often the pump has lost prime or the tank is empty, which the controller reads as a dry run. Check the water level and the suction pipe for air leaks, then press reset on the controller. Can I run a booster combo on an inverter during load-shedding?A 0.37kW combo runs on most 1.5kVA–3kVA inverters; a 0.75kW combo needs about 3kVA because of the start-up surge. If you rely on an inverter, a VSD booster is gentler on it.Do you deliver nationwide?Yes. Combos are couriered across South Africa, and we will size the right one for you on WhatsApp 061 744 1001.

Which booster combo do I need?

  • CPM combos – for water from a tank or JoJo at the same level as the pump or higher. Some come with a 25mm suction hose kit to draw from the tank.
  • Self-priming jet pump combos – when the water is below the pump, such as a sump, well or low tank.
  • Stainless-steel jet combos (GJSm range) – for borehole water and rainwater, with heads of up to 48m.

As a guide, 0.37kW to 0.55kW suits one bathroom, 0.75kW suits two to three bathrooms, and 1.1kW or more suits larger homes and garden use.
