Automatic flow switches and pressure controllers start your pump when a tap opens and stop it when the tap closes. We stock the SKD-2, SKD-11 and PS18L controllers, a 1–6 bar pressure switch and replacement PC boards.
Flow switch or pressure switch?
A flow controller such as the SKD-2 or PS18L fits directly on the pump outlet. It starts the pump when the pressure drops and keeps it running while water flows. It is compact and easy to fit, and most models stop the pump if the water supply runs out.
A pressure switch works with a pressure tank and switches the pump at set pressures, for example on at 1.5 bar and off at 3 bar. It is simple and robust, and the tank reduces how often the pump starts.
Replacing a faulty controller
If your pump won't start, won't stop or keeps switching on and off, the controller's PC board is often the cause. Our replacement PC boards for the SKD-2, SKD-11 and PS18L cost less than a complete new unit. Check your pump's current before buying: the PS18L, for example, is rated at 16A.
