Vertical multistage pumps stack several impellers on one shaft to build high pressure in a small footprint. They are the standard choice for building pressure-boosting sets, irrigation, boiler feed, reverse-osmosis and water-treatment systems, washdown and industrial process water.
Choosing a vertical multistage pump
Flow (m³/h) – set by the number of taps, sprinklers or machines running at the same time.
Head (m) – the pressure you need at the outlet plus pipe losses and any height difference. More stages = more head.
Materials – cast iron for clean cold water, stainless steel for potable, hot or slightly aggressive water.
Motor – 220V single phase on small models, 380V or 525V three phase on larger ones; add a VSD for constant pressure and lower power use.
Our range covers the DL series from small domestic sizes up to large industrial units, with replacement motors available.

Where vertical multistage pumps are used
- Pressure boosting for buildings, estates and farms
- Irrigation, and transfer from tanks and reservoirs
- Boiler feed, washdown and reverse-osmosis systems
- Industrial water supply
Reading the DL model code
In a model such as DL5-120, the number after "DL" is the pump's nominal flow in m³/h (here about 5m³/h). The second number rises with the number of stages, so a higher number means more pressure. Pick the model that gives your required flow at your required pressure, and add a VSD for constant pressure and lower power use.
