The Speck BADU Solar Smart runs your pool pump from the sun. It has a brushless DC motor with a built-in variable speed drive and MPPT solar controller, so it gets the most out of your panels and adjusts its speed to the sunlight available.
Specifications:
Solar panels (not included): Speck recommends 2 × 550W panels, or 4 × 380W panels wired two in series and two in parallel.
Grid power: Speck says the pump can also be set up to run from grid power with an additional power converter (not included). Ask us before you order if you need this.
Pool size guide: a 0.75kW-class pump, typically for pools up to about 60,000 litres.
