This NIST UNO Panel is built specially for your motor brand, with the correct start and run capacitors fitted inside, so it is a straight replacement for your old control box. It has the same NIST Motorscope protection as all NIST panels.

How to order (3 steps)

  1. Motor type: water-filled or oil-filled (see below)
  2. Motor brand: pick the brand on your motor nameplate. If it is not on the list, choose “Other” and write the brand and model in the order notes. Oil-filled panels are available for CRI, DAB, Ebara, Tesla, Vansan / Salsub / Tesk, Vega and Other
  3. Motor current: 1A to 8A or 8A to 20A, from the nameplate

What is inside

  • Franklin and Grundfos (water-filled, 1A–8A): start capacitor only
  • All other water-filled motors: run and start capacitors
  • Oil-filled motors: run capacitor only (no start relay or start capacitor)

What it protects against

  • Stops the pump if it runs dry (under-load) and restarts it after a recovery time you set (4 minutes to 16 hours), so the borehole can fill up again
  • Stops the pump if it jams or is overloaded
  • Stops the pump on high or low voltage (load shedding spikes, weak supply)
  • Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth: watch volts, amps and power, and start or stop the pump from your phone with the free NCS Toolbox app
  • Remembers the last 100 trips with date and time, so you can see what went wrong
  • Timers: 8 weekly on/off timers and a start-up sequencer

Note: it does not protect against lightning; fit surge protection as well.

1A–8A or 8A–20A?

Look at the amps (A) on your motor nameplate or in the pump manual. Up to 8A choose 1A to 8A (usually motors up to about 1.1kW); above 8A choose 8A to 20A (usually 1.1kW to 2.2kW).

Water-filled or oil-filled motor?

Most borehole motors are water-filled (some are resin-filled; choose water for those). Oil-filled motors usually say “oil” on the nameplate or in the brand name. Not sure? Send us a photo of the nameplate.
