Application:

Suitable for 4″ (100mm) and larger boreholes, wells and reservoirs. The hybrid inverter makes this ideal where reliable, uninterrupted water supply matters — farms, lodges, community schemes and commercial sites that can’t afford downtime on cloudy days.

Working Conditions:

Non-corrosive water with sand content not exceeding 1% by volume. Max pumped liquid temperature 40°C.

How Many Solar Panels Do You Need?

This kit is designed to run on a 3300W solar array (6 standard 550W panels wired together) at 450V/200V. This is more than the motor’s own rating on purpose — it covers cloudy days, cable and controller losses, and less-than-perfect sun angles. Because this is a hybrid kit, it can also draw AC power automatically when solar isn’t available, so your water supply doesn’t stop. Panel count is a general guideline based on 550W panels; using panels of a different wattage will change the number needed. Your installer or our team can confirm the exact setup for your site.

Choosing the Right 4SD Kit

The 4SD hybrid range covers a wide span of borehole depths and flow rates, from 41m up to 240m head. This 4SD6/15 kit is rated for water levels up to about 74m and a flow of roughly 8.2 m³/h.
