4SD4/6 Solar Borehole Pump Kit – 79m Head (72V Low Voltage DC)

Material:

• Stainless steel 4″ submersible pump wet end
• Brushless DC (BLDC) motor, 100% copper windings
• Matching low-voltage DC solar controller included

Features:

• Full DC solar kit — no mains electricity or generator required
• Soft-start electrical control with protection against under-voltage, over-voltage, overloading, and waterless (dry-run) automatic recovery
• Easy installation, maintenance-free, safe and reliable
• Motor: 0.75kW | System Voltage: 72V DC | Max Head: 79m | Max Flow: 7.9 m³/h

Application:

Suitable for 4″ (100mm) and larger boreholes, wells and reservoirs needing higher flow than a 3″ kit can deliver — ideal for farm, livestock, irrigation and community water supply projects.

Working Conditions:

Non-corrosive water with sand content not exceeding 1% by volume. Max pumped liquid temperature 40°C.

How Many Solar Panels Do You Need?

This kit is designed to run on a 1650W solar array (3 standard 550W panels wired together) at 72V DC. This is more than the motor’s own rating on purpose — it covers cloudy days, cable and controller losses, and less-than-perfect sun angles, so your pump still gets full power when it matters. Panel count is a general guideline based on 550W panels; using panels of a different wattage will change the number needed. Your installer or our team can confirm the exact setup for your site.

Choosing the Right 4SD Kit

The 4SD range covers a wide span of borehole depths and flow rates. This 4SD4/6 kit at 72V is rated for water levels up to about 59m and a flow of roughly 7.9 m³/h. If your borehole is deeper, or you need more water per hour, ask us about the other 4SD configurations in this range (up to 240m head) before you order — we’re happy to help you match the right kit to your site so you don’t end up with the wrong pump.
