4SD2/9 Solar Borehole Pump Kit – 60m Head (TGP Hybrid AC/DC)

R13,800.00

The 4SD2/9 Solar Borehole Pump kit includes the 4″ pump, brushless DC motor and TGP Hybrid AC/DC inverter, giving you solar power by day with automatic mains/generator backup. This 0.75kW kit delivers heads of up to 60m and a flow of up to 3.2 m³/h.

SKU: SOLAR-4SD29-450110-HY Categories: , ,

Material:

  • Stainless steel 4″ submersible pump wet end
  • Brushless DC motor, 100% copper windings
  • TGP Hybrid AC/DC Inverter included

Features:

  • Hybrid solar system — runs on solar power during the day and can draw AC mains/generator power automatically when the sun isn’t enough, so you’re never without water
  • Soft-start electrical control with protection against under-voltage, over-voltage, overloading, and waterless (dry-run) automatic recovery
  • Easy installation, maintenance-free, safe and reliable
  • Motor: 0.75kW | PV Voltage: 450V/110V | Max Head: 60m | Max Flow: 3.2 m³/h

Application:

Suitable for 4″ (100mm) and larger boreholes, wells and reservoirs. The hybrid inverter makes this ideal where reliable, uninterrupted water supply matters — farms, lodges, community schemes and commercial sites that can’t afford downtime on cloudy days.

Working Conditions:

Non-corrosive water with sand content not exceeding 1% by volume. Max pumped liquid temperature 40°C.

How Many Solar Panels Do You Need?

This kit is designed to run on a 1650W solar array (3 standard 550W panels wired together) at 450V/110V. This is more than the motor’s own rating on purpose — it covers cloudy days, cable and controller losses, and less-than-perfect sun angles. Because this is a hybrid kit, it can also draw AC power automatically when solar isn’t available, so your water supply doesn’t stop. Panel count is a general guideline based on 550W panels; using panels of a different wattage will change the number needed. Your installer or our team can confirm the exact setup for your site.

Choosing the Right 4SD Kit

The 4SD hybrid range covers a wide span of borehole depths and flow rates, from 41m up to 240m head. This 4SD2/9 kit is rated for water levels up to about 45m and a flow of roughly 3.2 m³/h. If your borehole is deeper, or you need a different flow rate, ask us about the other 4SD configurations in this range before you order — we’re happy to help you match the right kit to your site so you don’t end up with the wrong pump.
